很快，同年11月，青山區政府提出「一區創新引領，三城轉型再造」，計劃將青山區長江沿江帶轉型打造為濱江商務區。次年中央環保督查組在督查反饋意見中指出：「長江幹流飲用水水源地一、二級保護區內存在違法違規設施項目」為落實中央環保督查反饋意見的整改要求，武漢市環委會辦公室向青山區政府下達通知將對港東水廠飲用水水源地違規設施項目進行限期整改。青山區沿長江3.3公裏內，政府展開了對江灘的整改工作，紅鋼城一號碼頭也在其列，老吳的船的需要消失的命運已不可逆轉。

 

Not for long, in November of the same year, the Qingshan District government proposed "one district lead by innovation, and three cities to be transformed and rebuilt", and planned to change the Qingshan District along the Yangtze River into a riverside business district. In the following year, the central environmental protection team pointed out in their inspection feedback: "There are illegal facilities in the primary and secondary protected areas of drinking water sources in the mainstream of the Yangtze River". To implement the correction requirements of the feedback from the central environmental protection, the Wuhan Municipal Environmental Protection Committee Office issued a notice to the Qingshan District Government to rectify the illegal facilities at the drinking water source of Gangdong Water Plant within a limited time. Within 3.3 kilometres of the Yangtze River in Qingshan District, the government has carried out its rectification works, including the Honggang Pier No. 1. The demolishment fate of Old Wu's ship was irreversible.

12月4號策展團隊在紅鋼城碼頭進行了實地考察，老吳的船已經沈在水下，速度是超乎我們預料的。我們根據實際情況將先前擬定的計劃進行了必要的一系列整改，並正式著手於公關、宣傳、設計等工作。5號到9號，相繼有湖北美院學生等來江岸看現場與實地創作。

 

On December 4th, I and my curatorial team conducted a field investigation at the Honggang Pier. On December 4th, Lao Wu's boat has already been sunk under the river, and the speed was way beyond our expectations. According to the actual situation, we have changed our original plan, and officially started the work of the curatorial concept writing, public relations, open calls, design and so on. From the 5th to the 9th, artists, art lovers from Hubei Academy of Fine Arts as well as other academics have joined the l residents to come to Jiangan to check the site and create site-specific works about this event.
